The second album, "Like A Virgin", released in November 1984, became a commercial breakthrough for Madonna on both sides of the Atlantic, becoming multi-platinum not only in the USA and Canada, but also in the UK, Germany, Australia, Spain and many other countries, marking already the world star status. The album has a whole bunch of big hits that are still remembered - "Like A Virgin", "Material Girl", "Dress You Up", "Angel" and "Love Don't Live Here Anymore". The album sold over 10 million copies in the United States alone.
